Hazardous Materials Reporting Packets are "In the Mail"

EPCRA/SARA Title III annual reporting packets were mailed to facilities August 29, 2008 for 2008 reporting. Registration fees for report year 2008 are due October 1, 2008.
The State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) voted to discontinue using the paper form as of report year 2005, and instead adopt the US EPA Tier 2 Submit software. Each year a facility must download a new version of the software but can transfer electronic records from year to year.
The Tier 2 Submit 2008 reporting software is not scheduled for release until November. For more information on Tier 2 Submit please visit:
Reporting of inventories over a threshold amount of certain hazardous chemicals is required under Federal and State law. Fees paid by reporting facilities are used to support hazardous materials response planning, training and exercise, and community right-to-know activities.
