New Training Announcement: Essential Sign Language for First Responders
April 25, 2013
These presentations, arranged through the Maine Center on Deafness, have been scheduled for Tuesday, June 11 at the Knox County EMA office. We will have two sessions available to allow some flexibility in attendance for area responders, community volunteers and others who might have a need to communicate at a very basic level with persons who are deaf or have a hearing disability.
Choose between a 1:00pm and a 6:00pm session. To allow us to procure training materials for all, preregistration is required by calling the EMA office at 594-5155 or email rsvp to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will work on making EMS CEH’s available. We will see if CEU/CEH awards can be made available for other licensed professionals if there is interest.
Feel free to pass this info along to associates or other interested persons.
