Training Update: Notice To Applicants for FY2013 National Fire Academy or Emergency Management Institute Courses

Beginning on April, 15, 2012, individuals applying for Emergency Management Institute (EMI) classes will be required to register using the Training Administration System (CTAS) and obtain a Student Identification (SID) number. This number will be used in place of the SSN on your application form. The SSN number is no longer required for NETC application forms. How do I obtain my FEMA Student Identification (SID) number? Step 1 (If link doesn't work, try another browser)To register, go to https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid Step 2Click on the "Create Account" button on the left side of the screen. Step 3 Follow the instructions and provide the necessary information to create your account.What do I do with this new SID number I’ve been assigned?The SID number should be used in place of the SSN on your General Admissions Application (FEMA Form 119-25-1) and the General Admissions Application Short Form (FEMA Form 119-25-2). When you enter and use the system you will be able to print off and retain a student identification card.
