Walt Disney Company Executive to Keynote Preparedness Conference

AUGUSTA, MAINE -- Edward J. Gabriel, Director of Global Crisis Management for the Walt Disney Company, will be the keynote speaker at the Third Annual Maine Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference, April 28 and 29 at the Augusta Civic Center.

Mr. Gabriel is responsible for the development and implementation of global policy, planning, training and exercises to manage crisis for The Walt Disney Company. He is also responsible for East and West Coast Medical and Emergency Medical Operations and the Walt Disney Studio’s Fire Department. He supports and collaborates with global business units in development and testing of resumption planning, and develops policies and strategies to manage crisis.

Mr. Gabriel lectures nationally and internationally on Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Emergency Management, Planning and Preparedness Topics.

The third Annual Maine Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference will be held Thursday and Friday, April 28 and 29 at the Augusta Civic Center, Augusta, Maine.

Participant registration for the conference is free. Mr. Gabriel will speak at 8:15 on Thursday, April 28th.

The Conference will include eight tracks of emergency planning and informational workshops of interest to a variety of audiences including emergency managers, first responders, municipal and school officials, and businesses leaders.

The Conference will also feature a variety of demonstrations, opportunities for one-on-one discussions with presenters and other emergency preparedness experts, and the world-famous Maine Hazmat Team Challenge.
