Grant Opportunities

MEMA currently coordinates grants to communities under three programs:

Homeland Security:

Homeland Security Grant Program (Department of Homeland Security)

Hazard Mitigation:

  • Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) available annually; and
  • Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), available only after a federally declared disaster.

Homeland Security and Hazard Mitigation grants are Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant programs, and require 25% local matching funds. See our Mitigation grant section for further details.

 

Public Safety Interoperable Communications Grant (PSIC)

Grant awards for the current year have been made. Please see the PSIC page for more information about this program.

 

Other Federal Grant Programs
