Homeland Security Grants: Current YearFiscal Year 2009: Special Grant Period for Law Enforcement AgenciesThe grant application period for the special FY 2009 Homeland Security Grants for County, Local and Tribal Law Enforcement Agencies in Maine closes January 29, 2010. Awards are projected to be announced in March. Eligible applicants are city, county and tribal law enforcement agencies only. Applicants must also be compliant with National Incident Management System (NIMS) requirements. For this special grant period, based on State and Federal Homeland Security priorities, grant application criteria is focused solely on:
A total of $95,000 is available for allocation under this special competitive process. For reference, grant applications materials are listed below. For a list of equipment purchases allowable under the grant, see the Department of Homeland Security Allowable Equipment List. Please read guidance documents carefully before preparing applications.
