Homeland Security Grants: Current Year
Fiscal Year 2008
The Grant application period for FY 2008 Homeland Security Grants in Maine is now closed. Eligible applicants were city and county governments, and associated public facilities.
For 2008, based on State and Federal Homeland Security prioties, grant application criteria focused on:
- All-hazards emergency planning;
- Interoperable communications;
- Shelter and recovery operations;
- Training and exercise;
- Public education and awareness;
- NIMS compliancy measures; and
- School district emergency planning
A total of $2.286 million was available for allocation under the competitive process.
