The course will be held at the Aroostook County Emergency Management Agency, 158 Sweden Street, Caribou. June 12 & 13, 2024. Classes will be conducted from 8am-4:30pm. Lunch will be provided.

The Aroostook County Emergency Management Agency will be conducting an incident command system course for command and policy level first response personnel. This 2-day course is designed for a multidiscipline audience of persons who would likely serve as supervisors in an ICS structure. Topics include organization and staffing, incident and event planning/staffing, organizing a response to an incident or planned event, and incident resource management. The course includes group activities, a tabletop exercise, and a final exam. This program is intended for middle management, command staff personnel.

  • SELECTION CRITERIA: The target audience for this course is command personnel who would serve in supervisory positions in an ICS structure.
  • REQUIRED PREREQUISITES: Successful completion and understanding of IS700/IS100/IS200/IS800 introductory NIMS and basic incident command training is a requirement for attendance.
  • NEEDED MATERIALS: Laptop or tablet is needed for this course.
