Exit 15 Interchange Improvements Add Convenience and Enhance Safety

I-295 North Exit 15 closing mid-March, reopening in June

Construction of a new, northbound on-ramp to I-295 in Yarmouth requires a temporary closing of northbound Exit 15 in mid-March. While construction of the new on-ramp will continue into November, the rebuilt, northbound Exit 15 off-ramp will reopen in late June.

Be advised that blasting operations may result in some short-term traffic delays. Also part of the project, we’re moving the location of the southbound on-ramp and building a new Park & Ride Commuter Lot located nearby with access via Route 1.

Northbound Exits 10 & 17 Best Routes

Alternative routes include using Exit 10 at Bucknam Road, Falmouth or Exit 17 to Route 1 in Yarmouth. MaineDOT is installing temporary traffic signals at those exits to ensure that motorists can safely enter and exit Route 1. Drivers should allow extra time to reach their Yarmouth-area destinations.

MaineDOT apologizes for any inconvenience and asks that you drive safely.
