All admixtures require yearly re-certification by the manufacturer in order to ensure that product names and formulations have remained the same since the product was orginally placed on this list and that products are still relevant and in production. The most recent re-certification for all of the products on this list was received on December 10, 2008 for the calendar year 2009.

About NTPEP testing:

The National Transportation Product Evaluation Program (NTPEP) is a pool-funded testing division of AASHTO. NTPEP tests products according to a Project Work Plan, which describes the laboratory and/or field test protocols used to conduct the evaluation. The Project Work Plan is a consensus-based document, and includes peer review and input from industry experts. Each Project Work Plan is adopted after receiving at least two-thirds affirmative support from 52 AASHTO member states. The Project Work Plan is the basis for host states to conduct their testing and evaluation. When implemented by state DOTs, their own state standard specifications may supersede the NTPEP Project Work Plan. Industry is advised to be aware of state-level requirements, which may supersede basic NTPEP testing. NTPEP "Liquid Chemical Admixtures for Concrete" test reports may be viewed online at the NTPEP website (please click here).

PLEASE NOTE: Products often times may have multiple uses. Products appearing on this particular list are expressly pre-qualified for this category of usage only. Do not use these products for any other application unless this product is noted on other lists.

Sales Representatives seeking approval of a new product should submit their product's Materials Technical Data Sheet, Instructions for Installation, Material Safety Data Sheet, and a completed copy of the MaineDOT Preliminary Information for Product Evaluation Form.
