of System - M140A (R) & M400A (R) Bridge deck waterproofing
membranes are manufactured from a blend of SBS modified rubberized
asphalt internally reinforced with a strong non-woven polypropylene
fabric. M140A (R) is 60 mils thick and M400A (R) is 70 mils
thick. The membrane system shall include the use of Protecto
Wrap No. 80 Primer and Protecto Wrap 160-H Mastic. Laydown
temp - minimum 275°F |

of System - Sealtight Mel-Dek is a roll-type waterproofing
membrane composed of a nominally 53 mil thick layer of polymeric
waterproofing on a shrink-resist, heavy-duty 12 mil thick,
polypropylene woven carrier fabric. The two components are

The asphalt should be at least 290 degrees F at the time of
compaction . The compacted asphalt overlay should have a minimum
thickness of 2 inches. |

solutions. Two liquid components are mixed on the job site
just prior to cold application by squeegee, roller or spray
and liquid cures quickly to form a seamless asphalt-extended
polyurethane membrane. CIM 1000 is unaffected by the wood
preservative known as pentaclorophenol. CIM
1000 is the only product listed above which is approved
for use on timber deck applications. |

is covered with colored granular, the under face is covered

Specifications Section 508 for surface preparation,and installation
requirements. Refer to International Concrete Repair Institute
Technical Guideline No. 03732 for guidance on profile requirements
of the deck prior to application of the membrane (ranging between
CSP1 and CSP5).
