Description of State Maintenance Boundary Lines established for delimiting the urban area of
WESTBROOK, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, MAINE
Westbrook Effective date: 12/14/06 Beginning at the a point on Bridgton Road (U.S. Route 302), 0.07 miles northwest of Ridge Road, reference utility pole # 103 right side of road; thence, southeasterly to a point on Duck Pond Road 0.67 miles northeast of Elmwood Drive, reference utility pole #J/25 west side of road; thence, due east to the Westbrook-Falmouth town line; thence, southeasterly via said town line to the convergence of the Westbrook-Falmouth-Portland town lines in the Presumpscot River;
Thence, via the numerous courses of the Westbrook-Portland town line crossing Bridgton Road (U.S. Route 302), Warren Avenue, the Portland Terminal Co. (spur track), Larrabee Road, Main Street (State Route 25), the Portland Terminal Co. (Main Line) and the Westbrook Arterial to a point due east of a point on Stroudwater Street 0.17 miles south of Rochester Street; thence, due west to said point;
Thence, southwesterly crossing a Beaver Pond brook and Stroudwater River to the intersection of Spring Street and Eisenhower Drive; thence, southeasterly to a point on County Road ( State Route 22), at the Westbrook-Portland town line; thence, southwesterly via the Westbrook-Portland town line to the Westbrook-South Portland town line and continuing westerly via said town line to the Westbrook-Scarborough town line; thence, northwesterly along said town line crossing County Road (Route 22) and Saco Street to the Gorham-Westbrook town line;
Thence, northeasterly via said town line crossing Stroudwater River, Longfellow Street, Gorham Street and Conant Street (State Route 25) to the convergence of the Westbrook-Windham- Gorham town lines in the Presumpscot river; thence, easterly crossing the M.C. Railroad to River Road at a culvert over an unnamed brook; thence, northeasterly to the intersection of East Bridge St. and Methodist Road; thence, northeasterly to the convergence of Mill Brook with an unnamed brook; thence, northerly to a point on Bridgton Road (U.S. Route 302) 0.07 miles northwest of Ridge Road, reference utility pole #103 east side of road, the point of beginning.
Note: Bridges, if any bisected by the compact-urban line are in the rural area.
