MAINE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

 

Description of State Maintenance Boundary Lines established for

delimiting the urban area of

 

Old Town, Penobscot County, Maine

Old Town

 

Beginning at the junction of North Brunswick Street (State Route 43) and Center Street; thence, easterly to the Milford-Old Town line in the Penobscot River; thence, southerly via said river and the Milford-Old Town-Bradley-Old Town lines to the convergence of the Bradley-Orono-Old Town town lines; thence, westerly via the Orono-Old Town town line to the easterly right-of-way boundary of I-95; thence, northerly to Kirkland Road at a culvert 0.30 mile west of Bennoch Road (State Route 16); thence, northwesterly to a point due west of a point on Bennoch Road (State Route 16) 0.90 mile north of Krikland Road, point of reference utility pole #56 west side of road; thence, due east to said point; thence, southeasterly to College Road 0.30 mile north of Stillwater Avenue (U.S. Route 2A), point of reference utility pole #55/11 west side of road; thence, northeasterly to Gilman Falls Road (State Route 43) 0.50 mile west of Sargent Drive, reference utility pole #56 south side of road; thence, northeasterly to the Penobscot River westerly of Indian Island; thence, southeasterly to the junction of North Brunswick Street (State Route 43) and Center Street, the point of beginning.

 

NOTE: Bridges, if any, bisected by the State Maintenance Line are in the rural area .
