MAINE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

 

Description of State Maintenance Boundary Lines established for

delimiting the urban area of

 

Millinocket, Penobscot County, Maine

 

 

Millinocket

 

Beginning at the point of convergence of the Indian Purchase T3-Millinocket-T1 R7 Grindstone town lines; thence, southerly via T1 R7 Grindstone-Millinocket town line to convergence with TA R7-Millinocket town line to the north right-of-way boundary of Medway Road;

 

Thence, westerly via said right-of-way boundary to intersection of unnamed road #12 0.17 mile south of entrance to airport; thence, westerly via the northerly right-of-way boundary of said road to intersection with power line 0.13 mile south of Barnett Road; thence, westerly via power line to Poplar Street (State Route 11);

 

Thence, northwesterly to a point on Golden Road 0.17 mile west of Poplar Street (State Route 11); thence, northerly to a point in Ledge Cut Brook 0.48 mile due west of the confluence of Ledge Cut Brook and Little Smith Brook; thence, northeasterly to the intersection of Little Smith Brook and the Millinocket-Indian Purchase T3 town line; thence, easterly via the various courses of said town line to the convergence of the Millinocket-Indian Purchase T3-T1 R7 Grindstone town lines, the point of beginning.

 

NOTE: Bridges, if any, bisected by the State Maintenance Line are in the rural area.
