Description of State Maintenance Boundary Lines established for

delimiting the urban area of

 

Lisbon, Androscoggin County, Maine

 

Lisbon Falls

 

Beginning at a point on Ridge Road (State Route 9) 0.18 mile north of Frost Hill Avenue, point of reference utility pole #7 east side of road; thence, northeasterly to the junction of Main Street (State Route 125) and Edgecomb Road; thence, northerly via the west right-of-way boundary of Main Street to Dearing Brook; thence, southerly via the east right-of-way boundary of Main Street to the junction of Main Street and Edgecomb Road; thence, southeasterly through a point on Summer Street 0.21 mile north of Russel Street, point of reference utility pole #28; thence, to the Little River (Lisbon-Topsham and Androscoggin-Sagadahoc town and country line); thence, southerly via said river and town and county line, crossing Lisbon Road (State Route 196), to the confluence of the Little and Androscoggin Rivers (convergence of the Lisbon, Topsham, and Durham town lines); thence, northwesterly via the Androscoggin River (Lisbon-Durham town line), crossing Canal Street (State Route 9), to the confluence of said river and Alder Brook; thence, northwesterly to the intersection of Lisbon Road (State Route 196) and Highland Avenue;

Thence, northwesterly via the south right-of-way of Lisbon Road (State Route 196) to the junction of Lisbon Road and Patterson Street; thence, westerly crossing the Maine Central Railroad to Ferry Road 0.14 mile south of Marshall Street, point of reference utility pole #42/8/42; thence, northwesterly to Pine Woods Road 0.12 mile west of Winter Street, point of reference utility pole #17/17; thence, northeasterly crossing the Maine Central Railroad to the junction of Lisbon Road (State Route 196) and Moody Road; thence, northwesterly via the south right-of-way boundary of Lisbon Road to the Lisbon-Lewiston town line; thence, southeasterly via the north right-of-way boundary of Lisbon Road to the junction of Lisbon Road to Moody Road;

 

Thence, southerly crossing the Sabattus River to Webster Road 0.19 mile north of River Street, point of reference utility pole #11/13 east side of street; thence, southeasterly to Ridge Street at Barker Brook; thence, southeasterly via Barker Brook and the Sabattus River, crossing Mill Street to Lisbon Road (State Route 196); thence, southeasterly via the north right-of-way boundary of Lisbon Road to the junction of Lisbon Road and Frost Hill Avenue;

 

Lisbon Falls

 

thence, easterly via the north right-of-way boundary of Frost Hill Avenue to the junction of Frost Hill Avenue and Highland Avenue; thence, southeasterly to Ridge Road (State Route 9) 0.18 mile north of Frost Hill Avenue, point of reference utility pole #7 east side of road, the point of beginning.

 

NOTE: Bridges, if any, bisected by the State Maintenance boundary are in the rural area.
