Repairs To Lincoln Spur Bridge To Start Monday

MaineDOT announced today that crews will be repairing the Lincoln Spur Bridge starting Monday, May 18. The bridge spans I-95 at Exit 227 in T2R8, just west of the town of Lincoln.

Crews will replace the entire bridge surface and conduct minor repairs to the steel beams. The bridge surface will be repaired one lane at a time in order for traffic to still utilize the bridge. There will be one-way, alternating traffic over the bridge regulated by signal lights during the construction period. Construction is expected to be completed later this fall.

Lane restrictions over the bridge will be limited to loads no wider than 11 feet. Lane Construction Corporation is the contractor for the $1.4 million project.
