Little Lary Brook Bridge, Route 113 in Batchelders Grant To Reopen |
| |
Starting Thursday, May 7, Route 113 in Batchelders Grant will reopen as construction on the Little Lary Brook Bridge has progressed to the point where the bridge can now accommodate through traffic. Motorists need to be aware that this will remain an active construction zone and drivers should be aware of possible lane shifts and drive safely.
While the bridge remains open, work will continue on the approaches to the bridge. The construction project is scheduled to be completed by mid-June.
Route 113 had been closed to through traffic since November 14 so that crews could replace the Little Lary Brook Bridge. Route 113 has a winter closing each year, and this year, over the winter months, crews worked to replace the bridge
Little Larry Brook flows under Route 113 in Batchelders Grant just south of the Gilead town line. The bridge is located .3 miles south of the Gilead town line. Technical Construction of Turner, ME removed and replaced the former bridge at the site.
