Free Black Bridge To Close For Two Weeks

Starting Tuesday, February 17, MaineDOT crews will close the Free Black Bridge for a period of two weeks. The Free Black Bridge carries one lane of traffic and the Lewiston Lower Road rail line over the Androscoggin River between Topsham and Brunswick.

Crews will be replacing the deteriorating running boards on the bridge. If the project proceeds as planned, and there are no weather delays, the projects should be completed within two weeks.
