DOUGHTY BRIDGE IN CUMBERLAND TO CLOSE FOR TWO WEEKS
MaineDOT announced today that Doughty Bridge in Cumberland on Route 26/100 will be closed starting July 16 for a period of two weeks as crews replace the bridge. Doughty Bridge is located .2 miles north of the intersection of Route 26/100 and the Range Road in Cumberland.
Crews from CPM Constructors of Freeport will be replacing the bridge, and the bridge is expected to reopen on July 29, 2008. Motorists are encouraged to use the Blackstrap Road as a detour until the bridge reopens.
