MaineDOT To Temporarily Reduce Speeds On Stillwater Avenue

Starting Monday, MaineDOT crews will reduce speeds along a section of Stillwater Avenue in Bangor in order to work on the piers of the 1-95 south- and northbound overpasses.

The overpasses are located .4 miles south of the Route 186 exit. The speed reductions are expected to last until November 5 while MaineDOT crews evaluate the condition of the concrete and rebar used in the piers.

Two-way traffic along Stillwater Avenue will be maintained during the project, however, speeds will be reduced.
