Puddledock Bridge In Albion To Close for Repairs

Starting Monday, October 5, the Puddledock Bridge in Albion will be closed for a period of four weeks in order for MaineDOT crews to repair the wooden-deck bridge. Puddledock Bridge is on the South Freedom Road spanning Fifteen Mile Stream in Albion.

Due to nature of the work and the bridge’s narrow profile, it is necessary to close the bridge to vehicle traffic during the four-week construction period. A signed detour using Knights and Quaker Hill Road will be in place during the construction period.

MaineDOT crews will be the tightening the existing wooden timber deck planks and adding a timber driving surface. Crews are also strengthening the concrete abutments underneath the bridge.
