I-295 Exit 4 Southbound CLOSED through Sept. 15th
MaineDOT is making safety upgrades to I-295 in Portland and South Portland. This includes additional lanes to make entering and exiting safer along this busy highway.
To do this quickly and safely, we’ll be closing the Exit 4 On-Ramp and ask that you use Exit 5 via the Fore River Parkway. The bridge will remain open northbound and southbound for access to Route 1.
Because of construction here and between Exits 3 and 4, motorists should allow extra time or find an alternate route. As always, drive with caution. But please don’t slow down just to see what’s going on. It’s a safety hazard and causes congestion. Thank you.
