Technical proposer scores and price proposals were opened on July 22, 2009 for the Freeport, Route 136 Design- Build project. The results of the opening are as follows:

  • R.J. Grondin & Sons, TY LIN International, Golder Associates, Titcomb Associates, and Normandeau Associates:
    • Price Proposal: $8,674,000
    • Technical Score: 97.32
    • Best Value Score: $8,674,000/97.32=$89,129
  • Shaw Brothers Construction, Inc., the Louis Berger Group, Inc., and S.W.Cole Engineering, Inc.
    • Price Proposal: $6,286,037
    • Technical Score: 96.17
    • Best Value Score: $6,286,037/96.17=$65,364

Based on the Lowest Best Value Score, the design-build team consisting of Shaw Brothers Construction, Inc., the Louis Berger Group, Inc., and S.W.Cole Engineering, Inc., is the apparent successful bidder.
