Maine Conservation Corps Volunteer Program
The Volunteer Program Coordinator, with the support of the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) and the Maine Conservation Corps (MCC), organizes conservation and volunteer projects statewide. The projects are completed with the help of many volunteer groups and organizations. Previous projects have included: beautification, tree and shrub seedling plantings, buffer plantings, site improvement, street tree planting and traffic calming projects. These conservation projects are on MaineDOT or public land. Plants and refreshments are provided by the MaineDOT, Environmental Office and local stores, respectively. Volunteer groups are encouraged to contact the Volunteer Program Coordinator for a list of possible projects and more information. Other project ideas are also welcomed.
