MaineDOT Landscape Architecture Unit

MaineDOT's Landscape Architecture Unit employs four Landscape
Architects with a broad background in community, urban, environmental,
and transportation design, construction management, erosion and
sedimentation control, vegetation management, and planting design.
All members of the unit are experienced and enjoy making presentations
to the public.
The Landscape Architecture Unit is the home of the Department's
Americorps Volunteer Coordinator who works with school and civic
groups to implement various projects adjacent to transportation
facilities, including planting of trees, shrubs, or flowers, reforestation
of disturbed areas, creation of parks, paths, or carry in boat launches,
installation of erosion and sediment control measures, or clean
up of rest areas.
