Groundwater & Hazardous Waste Unit
The Groundwater and Hazardous Waste Division of MaineDOT's Environmental Office is a group of geologists, engineers, and environmental scientists specializing in soil and groundwater resource assessment, protection, and restoration.
Our focus is to assist all MaineDOT Bureaus and Offices to minimize impacts to Maine's groundwater resources. Our unit includes four program areas:
- Well Claims
- Preconstruction Monitoring
- Dredge Spoil Management
- Uncontrolled Petroleum and Hazardous Waste
