Municipal Sand & Salt Building Program

Priority 4 towns which have built a facility and are waiting for State reimbursement

When the Legislature appropriates future funding for this program, 20% will “come off the top” to fund the following towns in the noted order:

  • Montville
  • Dedham

This order was determined by the date when the MDOT received the final documentation from each town.

In 2005, the first session of the Legislature approved only 1 million dollars for all municipal buildings. Twenty percent of this amount went to reimburse the Towns of Camden, Appleton, Exeter, Troy, Clinton, Pleasant Ridge Plantation, Wales, Bowdoin. The buildings were built between 1991 and 1999.

In the Fall of 2006, the towns of Windsor, Hancock, Somerville, Burnham and Surry were reimbursed their State shares. These buildings were constructed between 1995 and 1999.
