Using the Maine DOT Location Map Files

Extracting zip files

Follow these instructions if you intend to use the macros the same way we do at MaineDOT. Create a folder called location_map on the same drive as your !ms2004conf or !msInRoadsconf folder. Unzip the contents of locmap.zip to that folder. This should result in a file called statemap-local.dgn in the location_map folder and a ref_files subfolder with 6 dgn files and 2 txt files.

Next, extract the contents of localroads.zip to the ref_files subfolder. To complete the set, extract the contents of water.zip to the ref_files subfolder.

Refer to the MicroStation for MX Manual or the MicroStation for InRoads Manual for instructions on using the location map macro.
