Web page Update
We have recently upgraded our version of InRoads and MicroStation in order to take advantage of a few fixes provided by Bentley. Some of these fixes were in order to work with our new Trimble Data Collectors and others were InRoads functionality. We recommend that users of our configuration upgrade as well. The new MicroStation version is not required for the older MX projects but will work fine for those also. This is our first revision to our MicroStation/InRoads configuration that we have published. The MicroStation/InRoads manual has been modified to coincide with the configuration. We are concentrating on the MicroStation/InRoads setup at this time and have not made any adjustments to the MicroStation and MX configuration at this time. We are removing links to the support pages for MicroStation J, MicroStation v8.1 and MX v2.6.3. These configurations can still be requested via email on our Contacts page.
MaineDOT undergoing many changes!
We have begun our implementation of InRoads design software. MaineDOT will continue to use MX on projects that are in the works, but will begin using InRoads on all new projects. This has prompted many changes in our workflow as well as to the standard design file. Because of the MicroStation design file changes, we need to keep the configuration for older MX projects separate from the new InRoads projects. The links to the left have been combined into these separate headings. A list of changes can be found on the MicroStation General Standards (for InRoads) page.
MaineDOT Survey Data Collection
To the left, you should see links to our Survey Data Collection Documentation and Downloads. MaineDOT uses Trimble data collection software for our survey operations and has developed a method of importing SDMS files as well. Please click the link to see MaineDOT specific files.
Links to Standard Details
and Standard Specifications
We have gotten inquiries
from readers of our CADD Support pages about Standard
Details and Standard
Specifications. These are maintained in the Contractor
Info section of Maine DOT's web site. We will be releasing new Standards in U.S. Customary Units in 2009.
