Maine Aircraft Registration

This is a picture of a float plane Effective with recently passed legislation (PL 2011, Chapter 610), the state registration requirement for aircraft has been repealed and the collection of excise tax will now be the responsibility of the local municipality in which the plane is hangared, except in Hancock, Knox, or Oxford counties.

Please contact your local municipality or county if the aircraft is hangared in one of the three counties above, to pay your future excise taxes.
