Road Services

The Town of Eddington provides winter and summer maintenance to all town maintained roadways. Questions, concerns, or complaints should be made to the Road Commissioner Russell Smith at 843-5233.

All summer and winter road maintenance is contracted out. Winter road maintenance is contracted to LP Williams Construction, Inc.

Town maintained roadways include:

• Clewleyville Road, Levenseller Road, Lambert Road

• Monument Drive, Hill Street 

• Eddy Heights

• Davis Road

• Chemo Pond Road

• Rooks Road

• Pond Road

• Merrill Road

• Nickerson Road, Blackcap Road, Hatcase Pond Road, Sweets Hill Road

Road Commissioner's Report 2007-08

For the fiscal year 2007-08 the Town of Eddington genral road work consisted of replacing culverts, sign replacement, ditching, roadside mowing, grading of dirt roads, downed trees, etc.

The upper part of Hatcase Pond Road has been in great need of attention and has taken several years to get where we are today. Ditching has been done to get the water away from the road and cross culverts replaced. In 2008 the upper part will be reclaimed and repaved.

The Merrill Road extension has been upgraded, ditched, and paved. A cross culvert on Hill Street was replaced and trench was paved.

The town is working on a maintenance plan for its roads. Anyone that has a problem with its culvert or ditching should contact the Road Commissioner.
