Cattle Pound
Cattle Pound 1835 Greenwood Road On September 14, 1835 the Town voted to build a pound for the use of the Town. The Pound was built at the foot of Pond Hill just North of Greenwood City. The Pound was to be 40 feet square inside. The walls were to be five feet thick at the bottom and two and a half feet thick at the top, the stones laid in a workman like manner. The Town had the Pound mapped in 1977 and restored soon after. |
