Town of Farmingdale

Kennebec CountyFarmingdale, in Kennebec County, was incorporated on April 3, 1852 from parts of Gardiner, Hallowell, and West Gardiner.

On the Kennebec River just north of Gardiner, it is a residential community serving the Augusta-Gardiner capital area. The renewal of the river's water quality in recent decades has supported the development of a marina and increased recreational boating in the area.

Several fine, large homes overlook the Kennebec River and U.S. Route 201 just north of Gardiner.
