CEO/LPI. The Code Enforcement Officer/Licensed Plumbing Inspector for the Town of Benton is Arthur Thompson Jr. The CEO phone number is 453-2997. The CEO is normally in the Benton Town Office on Monday and Wednesday although he may be 'on the road' doing inspections on those days. Building and Plumbing Permits. The CEO/LPI handles all building permits and plumbing permits for the Town of Benton. The CEO works closely with the Planning Board for any projects or construction that require Planning Board action and/or approval. E911/Health Officer. The CEO issues street addresses, determines street names, and handles E911 issues, and the CEO is the Town's Health Officer. Shoreland/Local Zoning. Benton has Shoreland Zoning as well as local zoning for properties that are in rural, industrial and residential zones.
