VOTING - Benton residents may register to vote at the Town Office during regular office hours or during elections.  Voter registration cards may also be mailed to the Town Office.   Information about voter eligibility, including military personnel, can be found on-line at:  http://www.maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/resident.htm

ABSENTEE VOTING -  Registered voters may vote absentee.  Some voters choose to file a standing absentee ballot request for all elections.  Any registered voter who wishes to recieve an absentee ballot for every election should contact the Town Office for a request form.  A registered voter may also vote absentee for a single election by voting at the Town Office when ballots are available, or by calling the Town Office at 453-7191 to request an absentee ballot.  If someone wants to request an absentee ballot for an immediate family member, that request must be made in person at the Town Office, not via phone.
