Wales Planning Board

Town of Wales Planning Board

Current Board Activity:

The Board may present the state mandated modifications to the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance at the 2008 Town Meeting after notifiying affected landowners of the new resource protection zones during the next couple of months.  A public hearing will be held on these changes following notification of the potentially affected landowners.  The DEP has extended the deadline for adopting these changes to June of 2009; therefore, if the board is unable to obtain clarification of potentially affected landowners in time to make this year's Town Meeting, we will present during the 2009 Town Meeting.  The board will be resuming it's work on a draft mining ordinance.

The Board began the review process for a Site Plan Review for property being developed by Roger Ouellette on Route 126 at it's December, 2007 meeting.  The board expects Mr. Ouellette to return with a final Site Plan application within the next couple of months.

All electronic forms (draft or final) related to this board and its functions are available by clicking the Most Requested Services Section on the menu to your left and selecting Forms and Publications.  All the adopted ordinances can be found on the Ordinances page listed in the menu bar to your left; paper copies are available upon request at the town office.
