On November 6, 2012, Senator Mike Thibodeau was re-elected by the people of District 23 to represent them in the Maine State Senate. District 23 includes all of Waldo County.
Prior to being elected to the Senate, Senator Thibodeau served two terms in the Maine House of Representatives representing District 42, which includes Brooks, Jackson, Monroe, Swanville, Waldo and Winterport.
This Session Senator Thibodeau unanimously was elected by his peers to serve as the Senate Republican Leader.
Senator Thibodeau is a graduate of Hampden Academy. He is currently the owner and operator of T B Equipment, a heavy equipment dealer supplying new and used equipment to central and northern Maine.
Senator Thibodeau and his wife, Stacy, live in Winterport and have two daughters.
