Senator Earle McCormick
Senator Earle L. McCormick is currently serving his second term in the State Senate. He represents District 21, which includes parts of Kennebec County. He is the Republican Senator on the Joint Standing Committee on Insurance and Financial Affairs, having spent his first term on Criminal Justice and Public Safety.
The Senator's previous legislative experience includes the 121st and 122nd Legislatures, where he served in the Maine House of Representatives. During that time, he was a member of the Taxation Committee and the Joint Select Committee on Tax Reform.
Senator McCormick spent 23 years in the United States Air Force, and earned a master's degree in meteorology from the Naval Post Graduate School. While in the military, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and four Air Force Commendation medals. After completing his service, the Senator returned to Maine and taught middle and high school mathematics and coached baseball, softball and track.
Senator McCormick is a member of American Legion Post 4. He currently resides in West Gardiner with his wife, Darlene. They have four children; Wayne, Neil, Jim and Trisha, and five grandchildren.
