Senator Patrick Flood of Winthrop is serving his first term in the Maine Senate, representing District 21, which includes the Kennebec County towns of Chelsea, Farmingdale, Gardiner, Hallowell, Litchfield, Manchester, Monmouth, Pittston, Randolph, West Gardiner and Winthrop.

 

A retired forest products company manager, Senator Flood received his undergraduate degrees from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry and from Syracuse University in 1974. He worked in various management roles in the forest products industry until 2004, when he retired and ran for the legislature. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Kennebec Behavioral Health in Augusta, the Family Violence Project (abuse prevention) in Augusta, the Winthrop Area YMCA, the Winthrop Area Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Board of Advisors of Healthy Futures in Winthrop.
