Senator Seth Goodall is serving his second term in the State Senate representing all of
Sagadahoc County and the town of Dresden in Lincoln County. Seth was elected to his first
term in the Senate in 2008. He serves on the Joint Standing Committee on the Environment and
Natural Resources, and the Joint Select Committee on Regulatory Reform and Fairness.
Prior to serving in the Senate, Seth served as a Selectman in his hometown of Richmond,
including a year as chair in 2008. While on the board, Seth focused on working to revitalize
the downtown as well as job creation. Seth also served on the Economic Community Development
Board, Land Use Ordinance Review Board and the planning committee for the regional school unit
(RSU).
At 12 years old, Seth started a small-business pushing a lawn mower across Richmond. Soon after,
he cofounded Goodall Landscaping with his brother, Ben. While in high school and college,
Seth and his brother built Goodall Landscaping into a successful company laying the framework for
the company employing nearly 40 people today, which his brother owns and operates in Topsham.
Seth earned his B.S. and M.S. from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the
University of Connecticut. In 2005, Seth earned his law degree from the University of Maine School
of Law where he was active in student government and the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic.
When not serving in the Senate, Seth practices law at Dyer, Goodall & Denison, P.A. in
Augusta, as well as serving on the Maine Economic Growth Council. Seth lives in Richmond with
his wife, LeAnn.
