Bennett, has presented his January Cornerstone Award to Moosehead Manufacturing Company. The President's Cornerstone Award was created to recognize Maine businesses that invest in our state and its people; Contribute to our local communities; Provide a solid foundation to our prosperity; and Define our future. Nomination forms are provided on-line so you can nominate a business for one of the monthly Cornerstone awards being presented this year by the President. President's Cornerstone Awards... SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION    It is that time of the year again. The time when we work together to raise money for the students in Maine who are attending colleges in Maine. The Auction will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2002 North Wing, Augusta Civic Center, 2nd Floor. Social 5:30 pm; Dinner 6:00 pm; Auction 6:30 pm. Tickets may be purchased on session days in the Rotunda and in Room 127 of the State House on non- session days (Transportation Committee room). $10.00 for Dinner and the Auction. $5.00 for Auction only. Ticket sales will stop on Tuesday, February 12, 2002. Donation deadline is also February 12th. If you haven't filled out a donation form before then, your donation will be raffled off on the Silent Auction Table. Student Award Ceremony is being held on Wednesday, February 13, 2002, in the House at 9:30 am and in the Senate at 10:00 am. Please stop by and congratulate them. We have 16 excellent recipients. INFORMATION OFFICE    The Legislative Information Office is now located in Room 121 of the State House. We don't have a room number for the Document room yet, but they have moved down to the north wing of the first floor. BASKETBALL GAMES    Legislator/Legislative staff basketball games will be held every Wednesday night from 5:30 - 8:00 in the Togus VA gymnasium, beginning February 6th. Maps to the gym will be provided in the Speaker's Office and in the Senate President's Office. If you have any questions please call Dan Walker at 287-1300 or Seth Woodcock at 287-1505.
