House Paper 1296, Legislative Document 1761, "An Act To Improve and Ensure Adequate Funding for E-9-1-1 Services," (EMERGENCY) having been returned by the Governor, together with objections to the same, pursuant to Article IV, Part Third, Section 2 of the Constitution of the State of Maine, after reconsideration, the House proceeded to vote on the question: "Shall this Bill become a law notwithstanding the objections of the Governor?"
36 voted in favor and 103 against, and accordingly it was the vote of the House that the Bill not become a law and the veto was sustained.

House Paper 1405, Legislative Document 1903, "An Act To Make Additional Supplemental Appropriations and Allocations and To Change Certain Provisions of the Law for the Fiscal Years Ending June 30, 2012 and June 30, 2013," together with four line-item vetoes, three disapproving dollar amounts to Section A-17 and one disapproving dollar amount to Section AAA-3, was returned by the Governor without his signature, after adjournment on Saturday, April 14, 2012, pursuant to his authority under the Maine Constitution Article IV, Part Third, Section 2-A.
The Legislature, having adjourned on Saturday, April 14, 2012 until Tuesday, May 15, 2012, did not reconvene to act upon these four items within five days as directed by House Rule 521, and accordingly, the line-item vetoes were not overridden and the bill with the four line-item vetoes was returned to the Governor.
