The Senate Calendar is an agenda of business the senate will be taking up when it meets. As business
happens, there may be supplements to the Calendar for more items.
The Senate Rule
512 determines the order of business for the calendar:
1. Papers from the House
Items sent from the House are Non-Concurrent Matters, House
Reference Bills, Orders, Sentiments, Resolutions, and Memoriums.
2. Communications
Communications from the House, Government Agencies required to report,
Governor Nominations, Reports from Studies, etc.
3. Reference Papers
New Bills sponsored by senate memers to be referenced by the
Senate.
4. Orders
Senate Orders, sentiments, resolutions, and memoriums
5. Committee Reports
Committee Reports sent from the House and new Reports received by the
Senate. Bills are reported back to the body the Sponsor is from.
