Enacted Law Digest
At the end of each legislative session, the Office of Policy and Legal Analysis and the Office
of Fiscal and Program Review produces a summary of public laws, private and special laws, resolves and certain
joint orders that were enacted or passed by the Legislature. The Digest is intended for general reference and should
not be used as the basis for legal interpretation nor should they be used to determine legislative intent. Refer
to the actual relevant law, resolve or order itself for exact language and more detailed information.
Enacted law summaries include the chapter number, title, LD number (for bills and resolves) or House or Senate
paper number and title (for joint orders), a summary of the enacted bill, resolve or order and the effective date
of any emergency legislation.
