STATE COMPENSATION COMMISSION

Commission Duties
:Beginning on January 1, 1998, the State Compensation Commission must issue a report to the Legislature, subsequent reports to the Legislature are required by January 1st of every even numbered year. The report must contain:
1. A description of the commissions activities;
2. The commissions recommendations regarding:
A. Compensation of Legislators and representatives of Indian tribes, including, but not limited to, all payments for:
salaries
meals
housing
travel
mileage
all other expenses and allowances
services as President of the Senate, as Speaker of the House or as a member of leadership
constituent servicesB. Compensation for the Attorney General, the Secretary of State, the Treasurer of State and the State Auditor
3. The reasons for its recommendations;
4. Drafts of any proposed legislation needed to implement its recommendations;
5. Any other materials and recommendations that the commission would like to submit.
