TABOR Nationally

ax reform continues to be an issue in Maine. A Maine Supreme Court decision on May 4, 2006 paved the way for the initiative to appear before voters on the November 7 ballot. It will be a straight up or down vote without a competing legislative measure.
This page pulls together information on the Maine Taxpayer Bill of Rights, it's opponents and proponents, and information on other states' experiences with TABOR-type proposals. Much of this information is highly favorable of one side or the other but we try to present a balance of both.
