The Library is located in the State House on the corners of Capitol and State Streets in Augusta.  The west entrance, facing the Cross Office Building, is open to the public, and the Library is on the 2nd floor.

To get to the State House from I-95 get off at exit 109 and travel east on route 202 (Western Avenue).  Continue to the first rotary where you take the first possible right turn onto State Street.  Proceed to the traffic light where you will see the State House in front of you on the right.  Turn right at the light onto Capitol Street for access to parking behind the Cross Office Building or in the Sewell Street garage.

Parking
Public parking is available behind the Cross Office Building or in the parking garage on the corner of Capitol and Sewell Streets (see tan areas blocked off on the map above).  Parking is more difficult during the Legislative Session when lots are fuller and fewer spaces for public parking.

Accessibility
Handicapped parking spaces are located between the State House and the Cross Office Building and on the Capitol Street side of the west entrance.  From the lower parking spaces you may want to enter the Cross Office Building from which you can take an elevator down one floor and use the connector to the State House.  To the right of the stairs is an elevator to the first floor lobby where you can get directions to the Library.
