About
Rep. Crockett
Rep. Patsy Garside Crockett is serving her second term in Augusta.
She is a lifelong resident of Augusta and a Cony High School graduate.
Her work history includes 11 years for an association management
and government relations firm and 27 years for a local financial
service office.
Community involvement is important to Crockett. She serves on the
board of directors and as treasurer of the Children’s Center,
on the board of the Capital Riverfront Improvement District and
the Friends of the FlatIron. She has been involved with Kennebec
Historical Society, Fort Western Board of Trustees and a member
of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.
Crockett has been married to Robert "Bob" Crockett for
50 years. They have two sons and three grandchildren. In addition
to spending time with her grandchildren, her hobbies include working
in her flower garden, reading, vacationing in Las Vegas and attending
plays at the Ogunquit Playhouse.
Crockett has sponsored legislation to reduce state costs and save
taxpayers money. One bill created a Board of Corrections to help
provide for cost efficiencies in both county and state correctional
facilities. Another saved municipalities across Maine thousands
of dollars by allowing them to consolidate polling places for a
special election.
