Rep. Richard Sykes

District 98

Representative Richard Sykes is serving his fourth term in the Maine House of Representatives representing District 98, which includes Bridgton, Harrison, Lovell, Stow and Sweden. He is the ranking Republican member of the Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety.

Rep. Sykes, a retired high school principal, received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire and his Masters in Education from the University of Southern Maine. Rep. Sykes served in the United States Army Reserve from 1966-1972. He is a member of the Harrison Volunteer Fire Department.

Rep. Sykes and his wife, Kaye, live in Harrison. They have two children.
