Rep. David Richardson

District 23

Representative David Richardson is serving his third term in the Maine House of Representatives representing District 23, which includes Carmel, Etna, Hermon and Stetson.

Rep Richardson attended the University of Maine in Orono where he received his BA in English in 1971 and his Master’s in Education in 1990. From 1975 to 2003 he taught English/Language Arts at Hermon Middle School. Now retired, he remains active in community organizations including the Carmel High School Alumni Association and Benevolent Lodge #87 and holds active memberships in the Carmel Snowmobile Club, Maine Snowmobile Association, the Penobscot County Conservation Club and the University of Maine Alumni Association.

Rep. Richardson serves on the Board of Trustees of a local hospital, on the Board of Directors of the Bangor Learning Center and on the Board of Regents of the Maine Masonic College. He also served on teh Board of Selectmen in the Town of Carmel for 12 years.

Rep. Richardson and his wife, Diana, live in Carmel. They have two children and four grandchildren.
