Rep. Kathleen Chase

District 147

Representative Kathy Chase, a native of Wells, is serving her second term in the Maine House of Representatives representing District 147, which includes part of Wells.

Rep. Chase holds an associates degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Southern Maine. She has owned and operated several businesses including convenience stores, a real estate office, a restaurant and currently a gravel excavation and processing business with her husband in Wells. Kathy is a Certified Maine Assessor and spent 18 years as the Tax Assessor for the Town of Wells.

Rep. Chase is the Vice President of the Wells Rotary Club, the founder of the Wells Senior Needs Committee of Wells and Ogunquit, and a leader for the fundraising and construction of The Wells and Ogunquit Senior Center, of which she is a current member of the Board of Directors. Kathy received a Maine’s 100 Volunteer Award in 1999 from the governor for her outstanding volunteerism.

Rep. Chase and her husband of 40 years have two children and 6 grandchildren.
